Hey!! Is Jesus Christ the most important person in your life?
Maybe you're reading and something on the inside is saying you need Jesus. He is waiting for you and wants to wrap his arms of love around you. He will not force you to love him back; he has given you a free will. But, He is waiting for you. If you need Jesus in your life it is as simple as ABC...
A
First, ADMIT that you have sinned. Check out Romans 3:23..."for all (all means all...including you!) have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Everyone sins; in God's eyes, sin is sin...regardless of what it is, it all pulls us away from Him. We are in a world of people who do wrong, and God wants to forgive us of everything we have ever done against him. Admit that you have sinned, and ask forgiveness of your sin. Take the gift he wants to give you.
B
Next, BELIEVE that Christ died for you. Take a look back in Romans (6:23): "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord". Christ died a terrible death on a cross to pay the price for our sin. Jesus took our place when we deserved spiritual death.
C
One more thing and you've done it...CONFESS Him as Your everything. Read once more in the book of Romans (10:9) "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved". To confess, you can pray a simple prayer something like this...
Jesus come into my life. I admit that I have sinned, and I need your forgiveness. I believe that you died for me and rose from the dead. I want you to be my everything. Thank you for all that you have done for me. I want to live for you.
If you prayed that prayer and meant it with all your heart, He has changed your life forever. You have been made new on the inside and are forgiven. It is that simple!!!
Now, start to find out more about what God has in store for you and how He wants to work in your life. Tell a friend about the decision you've made. Begin reading a chapter of the Bible every day. Start in the book of Mark. Use a Bible that is easily understandable (suggestions: The Message, New International Version, New Living Translation, Living Bible, Contemporary English Version). Talk to God some every day. Tell Him your thoughts & concerns. Get involved in a local church like Bluffton Assembly of God and meet with others who have decided to go the same direction you have!
God's got great things in store for you...You will never be the same!!
